What to bring to your Senior Photo Shoot | Garden of the Gods

Ideas of Things to bring to your Senior Photo shoot:

  • Bring your Letterman’s Jacket, show off your athletic & academic accomplishments
  • Play an instrument? Bring your guitar, also if you play drums or a larger instrument let’s photograph you where it resides rather than lugging it to your session.
  • Sports? Dance? Football? Soccer? Tennis? Cheerleader? If you have the athletic gear before you have to turn it in let’s schedule in advance because then you don’t have to worry about returning that uniform to school.
  • Read books? Bring your favorite novel or we can even do a portion of your session at the library!
  • Love cars? I mean who knows you may have a car already and you love it like crazy and it’s shows off what you love? Let’s photograph you with your car!
  • Artsy? Painter? Draw? etc. My goal first of all is to bring our all that you love with passion for during your photo session.
  • Got accepted to college already? Bring your Future college T-shirt or jacket to your session too. Let’s celebrate!
  • The list can go on and on. In addition: (Hiking, Bring your furry best friend, maybe a gift you received for your senior year from parents, also your cap and gown if you received it before yearbook due date, just a few more to think about).

Your parents, grandparents, friends and family will love to see your ambition, your goals, your personality, and passion within your Senior Photo Session. We’ll make it fun and relaxed and you can tell me more about your future plans after you graduate and just enjoy this moment. If you have any questions feel free to send me an email and contact me about your Senior Photo session.

Here is Hannah, Doherty High School Senior and she’s ready to graduate in 2018! She brought her guitar and was such a sweetheart. Garden of the Gods Senior Session | Keli

Your in your Senior Year, trying to get all those last pieces of homework in and finish those Final exams. Spending time with your family and friends and then also figuring out what college you’ll go to or if you want to wait etc. It can be super overwhelming at times right?

I want you to take a moment to embrace life, spend all the time you can with your friends and family. It’s so crazy how once you graduate from High School that you are in a whole new world! More workload once you are in College, yes ,but you’ll also get to meet new people, and have many new memories. One thing you should do for you is not get your photos taken just for the yearbook.

I know, I know I’m a photographer and this is my job like why would I say that right?

NO seriously! Don’t do it for the high school yearbook.

You should do this for YOU! To capture your personality, your own beauty, your strong willfulness as you prepare yourselves for college, work, anything you set your own mind too! Are you ready to graduate? You’re not just a Senior, your an amazing human being with so much potential!

Keli, thank you so much for having me! Garden of the Gods has such breathtaking views, if you haven’t been there yet take a chance and explore! Keli has such a beautiful soul and you’ve grown into a strong young adult! Keep up all the hard work and I wish you nothing but the best in your future!

Congratulations Class of 2017!

Colorado Springs Senior Photographer | Jordan K.

Along with an amazing 2016! I am also a Colorado Springs Senior Portrait Photographer and had the pleasure of working with 3 High School Seniors who will be graduating this Spring. I am so honored they had me as their photographer. So I will be sharing the galleries in the next few days.

Up first is this driven gal, Jordan. I met Jordan’s mom through a mutual friend and we chatted about the Senior Session. We decided Rock Ledge Ranch in Colorado Springs, Colorado which had that added variety to add to her images for different sceneries. I absolutely loved Jordan’s outfit choices! Very fun and colorful. Her outfit choices were ON POINT! 😀 After Jordan graduates she told me she would be joining the Air Force! Congratulations! And another Big Thank You to your Dad for his military service. 🙂

I wish you on your new journey to be the best and I am truly honored to get to know you during our session in such a short time frame. If your looking to book your Senior session for Class of 2018 contact me soon! Slots do fill up quickly as clients typically book about 2 months in advance.

Hello 2017 ! | Colorado Springs Photographer

As the 2016 year comes to an end. I have ad the pleasure of living in such a beautiful city. Colorado Springs has been home as long as I can remember and being self employed I got to work with so many amazing people! Whether they were visiting town for a short while, military life had brought them here and also taken them to new homes, or locals that I’ve continued to work with every year is an amazing feeling. You guys are made my year worth while and I don’t know what I would do without you all! Thank you for such an amazing year! I look forward to 2017 and also working on a few small changes to add into the Portrait packages, so keep an eye out for that one!

I always tend to book a few months in advanced for Portraits and then about 6 months to a year for weddings to book in advance! The sooner you know and book the better so you can secure your date and time slot.

Take a look at all of you guys below. Each and every session as helped me grow & I even got to help Fundraise for Fort Carson’s Mountain Post Santa’s Workshop which was one of my favorites for 2016!

Thank you so much & have a safe and Happy New Year!

Garden of the Gods Senior Photo Shoot | Brianna Class of 2017

We went to Garden of the Gods and man the lighting and weather was perfect! Brianna picked such gorgeous outfits for her photo shoot. She is a part of JROTC at her high school and has won many medals with the Drill Team. (Firearm was not loaded). With Veterans day that quickly approached after her session with myself I brought along an American Flag scarf I bought from Old Navy. It was a perfect way to add in how much it means to her & her family. Thank you to Brianna’s Dad for your service & your family’s sacrifice. Enjoy your images & Colorado’s Views throughout her Senior Session.

Thank you for having me take these for you & I wish nothing but the best in your new journey as you enter the new path into College and anything else you set your mind to after that! 🙂

What to bring to your session

Hi there! The most common question when planning your session is what you should bring along.

Depending on the season here in Colorado I suggest bug spray for the summer! Mosquitos here are just a little brutal depending on the location so that’s always something good to bring just in case. Now as for props go that is totally up to you if there is something you’d like to bring along that you’d like to use during your custom session then yes please bring it with you! I don’t provide a lot of props at this time, but when the winter season hits I typically bring along some blanket options in case the ground is too cold or wet to sit on I will have blankets as an option! If you’d like to bring your own blanket that’s perfectly fine too. Any other props such as a chair, wood box, numbers, or cake etc. I have a few items which we can discuss to meet your vision & as for cake smashes I don’t provide cake but I can surely refer you to some great local vendors who are experienced in that department. 🙂

Have four-legged family members? Bring them along too! I’ve worked with 4 Pups in the past and family is Family! 🙂 I couldn’t imagine not having our fur babies a part of our own memories to look back on. I just suggest bringing their leash, treats & their favorite squeaky toy to get their attention for the camera!

For your little kiddos I suggest bringing some little snacks, their favorite beverage & a toy to keep them occupied in case they get bored of me taking their photos but I assure you I do my best to have them interact with what’s around us at the session location. 🙂

And last but not least bring your happy selves & enjoy your session! 🙂

If you have any further questions please email me and I’d be happy to help with your questions on what to bring to your session!
